COC Site Safety Coordinator
Purpose
To Glorify God by serving the ministries and purposes of the COC through the process of caring for and protecting COC guests, facilities, and grounds.
There are two primary responsibilities associated with this position:
Supervise all COC site safety requirements during evening programs and on other occasional pre-approved occasions. This role will involve leading, training and developing a team of ministry partners who have been especially recruited for this ministry. Only approved ministry partners form the Site Safety Team. Together with this team, the COC Site Safety Supervisor will ensure safety both inside and outside the facility.
The Site Safety Supervisor will ensure that team members demonstrate our Core Values as they carry out their duties and help our guests to live out COC Code of Conduct designed to cultivate a biblical lifestyle and attitudes.
Supervise and participate in the routine cleaning & maintenance of the COC facilities during and after evening events programs or as directed by the COC Community Outreach Pastors. This includes:
The Site Safety Supervisor will also maintain on-going communication with the Facilities Supervisor to ensure mutual cooperation with overlapping duties. These duties will include and but are not limited to:
III. Qualifications/Qualities
- Demonstrates a love for Christ and passion for the Great Commission.
- Demonstrates Christian maturity in words, deeds and in prayer.
- Is an active member of a Christ centered bible believing Church.
- Understands the “When Helping Hurts” issues and the principles of relief, rehabilitation and development.
- Sees the workplace as an opportunity to develop disciples among our ministry partners and our guests.
- Ability to graciously lead ministry partners.
- Has good people skills, is able to encourage others and knows when to be firm.
- Has an ability to recognize and diffuse potentially difficult individuals.
- Values every person irrespective of who they are and demonstrates the love of Christ in all situations.
- Some previous work experience in facility/maintenance would be helpful.
- Some working knowledge of electronic communications would be helpful.
The Facility and Site Safety Supervisor will report directly to the Pastor for Community Outreach Center.
